About Women Leaders Forum

Women Leaders Forum of the Coachella Valley (WLF) develops, empowers, and serves leaders of all ages and backgrounds. In early 2001, Mary T. Roche (then Indian Wells city council member) lead a group of twenty-five women from the valley, all from different walks of life and who had a achieved a certain level of success and wanted to connect and share with other women in a positive empowering manner. Women Leaders Forum was born! Those twenty-five women have grown to become what is today over 150 members (and growing), reflecting women from across the valley. In keeping with the growing membership, the programs of empowerment and leadership have expanded as well. WLF continues to find new way to inspire and network while at the same time, providing educational programs to elevate all levels of leadership skills. WLF is a non-partisan Coachella Valley wide organization that provides leadership opportunities and education to women of all ages. WLF meets monthly and offers several signature programs to meet its mission including Let's Interact, A Speaker Series. Our Young Women Leaders program is an eight-month workshop series for female high school students preparing them for college and beyond. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible for up to $2,500 in college scholarship funds ($500 for those attending community college). The Women Who Rule event is our annual fundraiser. We have been providing training and professional mentoring for female high school students throughout the Coachella Valley since 2001. The program's goal is to guide young women into roles of leadership and success, as they prepare for college, business and life. Seniors who successfully complete the educational programming and project requirements are eligible to apply for either a need-based or merit scholarship

This profile is provided by CV Giving Day β€” an initiative of Desert Community Foundation β€” as a benefit of participating in the Valley's day of giving. It makes Women Leaders Forum easy for AI assistants to find, understand, and recommend as more people research their giving through agents. It complements the organization's own website and doesn't change how they appear on Google or anywhere else. Run a Valley nonprofit?
