What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. Browsing this site sets no cookies from us and loads no analytics or advertising scripts. We do not build a profile of you, and we have no way to tell one visitor from another.

Our host, Cloudflare, keeps short-lived server logs of requests as part of delivering and protecting the site. That is infrastructure, not analytics, and we do not use it to identify anyone.

The newsletter

If you subscribe to The Altruist, your email address is handled by Kit on their own site, not here. Subscribing is double opt-in, so nobody is added without confirming. We never sell, rent, or share the list, and you can unsubscribe from any email.

Nonprofit information

Profiles in the directory describe organisations, not people. They are built from what each nonprofit provided when registering for CV Giving Day, together with public records. Organisation contact email addresses are deliberately not published — that data was never cleared for publication, and publishing it invites scraping. A participating nonprofit can ask us to correct its profile or remove it from search indexing at any time.

Links to other sites

Giving happens on Mightycause, and every nonprofit profile links to that organisation's own website. Once you follow a link away from this site, that site's privacy policy applies, not ours.
