On GivingTuesday your gift should go to the organization, not through us. Browse the 173 Coachella Valley nonprofits in the directory, pick one whose work you want to back, and give on their own page. We take nothing and we handle nothing — we just help you find them.

This is the week to register
Registration for CV Giving Day 2027 opened November 3, 2026 and is open now. Registering costs a donor nothing and takes nothing from your December — it puts your organization in the directory and into a prize pool of more than $100,000.
Most of that money is awarded by random draw, not by how much you raise. In 2026, 16 of the 28 prizes went to organizations drawn at random, which means a small nonprofit has the same chance as a large one. Being registered is the whole qualification.
The Leadership Council
The desert’s seat at the national table
CV Giving Day is a charter member of the GivingTuesday Leadership Council — and the only member in the California desert. The Council is the group of community campaigns that shape how GivingTuesday works locally, and the Coachella Valley has a voice in it because of CV Giving Day.
CV Giving Day is a program of Desert Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, EIN 95-4725924.
Two different days
GivingTuesday opens the season. March closes it.
They are not the same event and they do not compete. GivingTuesday is global, on December 1. CV Giving Day is ours — Tuesday, March 2, 2027, with four weeks of early giving from February 2, prizes funded by Valley sponsors, and every dollar going to a Coachella Valley nonprofit.
Give in December if a cause moves you. Then give again in March, when the whole Valley does it together.
