About The True League Foundation

In Desert Hot Springs and across the Coachella Valley, access to opportunity isn’t evenly distributed . The True League Foundation bridges that gap by creating safe spaces, providing transportation, strengthening mentorship, and delivering life-changing exposure experiences for youth and families whose potential extends beyond their zip code. On CV Giving Day, every donor helps unlock bonus funding and expand opportunity across our community. WHO WE ARE The True League Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in lived experience and deep community connection. We work alongside youth, families, adults, and seniors who face real and ongoing barriers to access — including transportation, cost, and limited exposure to opportunity. For many families, basic necessities come first. Without support, enrichment, travel, and exposure experiences remain out of reach. What Access Looks Like • Transportation to college campuses and professional environments •  Safe gym space for structured youth programming • Mentorship and leadership development •  Exposure to arts, culture, science, and career pathways • Community outreach and basic support resources Access creates opportunity. Opportunity cha nges lives . Why Support Is Needed Access has real costs. A single charter bus can cost up to $2,800. Gym rental can exceed $3,000 for a season. Transportation, materials, staffing, and outreach require consistent funding. On CV Giving Day, every donor strengthens our ability to sustain and expand this work. Proven Impact For more than 16 years, our leadership has worked directly with youth and families in Desert Hot Springs and the surrounding communities — providing structured programming, mentorship, and safe recreational spaces. Through consistent community engagement, collaboration with local schools, programs and hands-on outreach, we have served hundreds of participants across multiple generations. Our work is rooted in lived experience, long-standing relationships, and a deep understanding of the barriers families face — from transportation limitations to lack of exposure opportunities. The True League Foundation is not starting from scratch. We are building on years of trusted presence and expanding access with intention. What We Do The True League Foundation creates access by: • Operating community-based sports leagues and structured programming • Providing mentorship and leadership development •  Delivering wellness-focused initiatives •  Supporting educational and literacy growth •  Expanding exposure to colleges, professional environments, and cultural experiences To make this possible, we secure transportation, rent gym facilities, and create safe, structured spaces where youth and families can participate, connect, and grow. Access also means meeting immediate needs. Through outreach efforts, we provide hygiene kits, essential supplies, and basic support resources that remove unseen barriers and allow families to focus on growth and opportunity. Our Mission We bridge gaps to access. Access creates opportunity. Opportunity creates experiences that change lives. Through sports, mentorship, wellness, education, literacy, and outreach, we remove barriers that prevent individuals and families from fully participating in opportunities that build confidence, perspective, and long-term possibility.. Our Vision We envision a future where a child’s zip code does not determine their exposure to opportunity — where families have access to experiences that expand perspective, and communities are strengthened through connection, dignity, and support. We bridge gaps to access. We create opportunity. We deliver experiences that change lives. Together, we are building pathways forward — expanding what is possible and protecting the future of our community.
