About SongShine Foundation

About SongShine Foundation At SongShine Foundation, we believe every voice deserves to be heard—at every stage of life. Through the healing power of music, creativity, and human connection, we help individuals reclaim voices that have been impacted by Parkinson’s disease, stroke, other neurological conditions, or the natural process of aging. We do this by: • Training and certifying compassionate instructors to teach SongShine vocal exercise classes • Offering regularly scheduled in-person and online SongShine classes • Presenting workshops that introduce and share SongShine’s proven vocal therapy methods • Continuously creating and refining course materials that blend music, speech, creative drama, and imagination SongShine classes are intentionally holistic, engaging the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Participants explore gentle body awareness and relaxation, breath support, vocal exercises and song, speech and articulation, imagination, creative drama, and emotional expression. This integrated approach does more than strengthen voices; it restores confidence, joy, and a sense of possibility. Classes are taught in a warm, affirming environment where participants feel safe to take risks, be seen, and be celebrated. Individuals of all ages and neurological backgrounds come together not defined by a diagnosis, but united by a shared goal: rediscovering their voice and the confidence that comes with it. In these spaces, friendships form, laughter returns, and community grows. The Impact In SongShine Foundation classes: • Voices grow stronger • Spirits are lifted • Memories are awakened • Community is created • Confidence and self-esteem are renewed Why Your Gift Matters Your gift makes this life-changing work possible. Donations help train instructors, expand access to classes, develop new materials, and ensure that individuals—regardless of ability or circumstance—can experience the joy, connection, and empowerment of finding their voice again. With your support, more people can move from silence to song, from isolation to belonging, and from uncertainty to confidence.

About this page — why it exists, and what it does (and doesn't) do

This profile is provided by CV Giving Day — an initiative of Desert Community Foundation — as a benefit of participating in the Valley's day of giving. It makes SongShine Foundation easy for AI assistants to find, understand, and recommend as more people research their giving through agents. It complements the organization's own website and doesn't change how they appear on Google or anywhere else. Run a Valley nonprofit? Registering for CV Giving Day 2027 includes a page like this one — hello@cvgiving.org. Something wrong on this page? Email us and we'll correct it.

Sources and record information

Organization information is based on CV Giving Day registration records and public IRS records.

What “verified” means: Identity confirmed against IRS records. Participation confirmed against CV Giving Day registration. Public information compiled from the organization's own sources. Organizations that have indicated a preference against search indexing on their CV Giving Day registration are excluded from search indexing and from this site's sitemap. A cause may come from the organization's own category selection, from its IRS classification, or from CV Giving Day review; the source is always stated on the page and in this record.
