About Shay's Warriors Life after Cancer

Our mission, because living life after cancer is tough. We will inspire, inform, empower and help heal cancer survivors and their families through health, fitness and the mind-body connection. Shay's Warriors Life after Cancer is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that was formed here in the Coachella Valley in 2018 to provide comprehensive support to the cancer survivorship community. We were founded by cancer survivors and built our programming and services to assist cancer survivors directly through our active Board of Directors and an extensive number of volunteers, partners, and ambassadors; all of whom collectively donate their time, skills, and expertise, to ensure that every donation and all funding we receive goes directly towards empowering and supporting cancer survivors. We focus on: * Educating survivors by providing programming essential to thriving in life after cancer as well as providing a safe nurturing space to do so. Such as educational and inspirational content - podcasts, videos, blog posts, and playlists * Planning special events - our yearly retreat-reset event and ongoing workshops through cultivating and maintaining the survivorship community * Creating swag that inspires - hats, shirts, yoga mats, and more * Providing personal support - personal timely responses from our founder and other thrivers to all inquiries. * Hosting the I AM HOPE SURVIVOR RESET RETREAT - our annual event hosting cancer survivors in the beautiful Coachella Valley to help reconnect and reclaim life after cancer. Testimonials "I loved meeting and connecting with 30 beautiful survivors. All the volunteers were so welcoming and loving. โ€ฆ I felt like we were all sisters. The retreat was much-needed and I am forever grateful. Everything was thoughtful and put together! The food was delicious, too!" - Valerie M. "I loved everything about the retreat but especially loved meeting and networking with other women with similar stories of what I went through. Also, I had my first experience with yoga and even in a chair. Thanks, Shay and Cecily!" - Nancy L. "Everything! It was a safe environment for us to reveal our thoughts and emotions then gave us a path to heal and live life after cancer. We were strangers on Friday when we arrived and we left with 39 supportive loving friends, warriors for life. It was so well organized with each session moving flawlessly to the next โ€ฆ I Am Hope Survivors Retreat is unique and needs to continue to help cancer survivors navigate life after cancer. No one I know who had cancer was ever given an opportunity like this. It was a beautiful gift to all of us." - Eileen G. "I loved it all! The sessions with Cecily were very therapeutic. The hotel was amazing and quiet. The food was wonderful. The well-thought-out journal was essential in the process. The opportunity to be semi-isolated with that many cancer survivors was priceless and powerful." - Patricia J. "The setup was so inviting and peaceful. I loved the workshops we did and how we engaged with one another. Then using the tools of the workbook - just wish it was longer! The food was delicious, and I stayed somewhere that even in my wildest dreams I couldn't afford. I needed to feel pampered and indeed I was." - Renee F.
