About Mama's House Ministries

At Mama’s House, we open our doors to women who are facing unplanned pregnancies or are otherwise at risk - women with children and/or victims of abuse - who are vulnerable with no place to go or means of support. In California alone, nearly 45,000 women experience homelessness each year, and women make up more than 60% of adults living in poverty with children. For pregnant women without stable housing, the risk of complications and infant mortality more than doubles compared to those  with safe shelter. That’s why Mama’s House offers more than a roof—it’s a refuge of transformation. Here, women receive physical, emotional, spiritual, educational, and vocational care in a nurturing, faith-based environment. Each woman is guided toward healing, stability, and lasting self-sufficiency through mentorship and the development of essential life skills. When a mother graduates from Mama’s House, she doesn’t just survive—she shines. She becomes a confident parent, a thriving neighbor, and a hopeful voice for others who are walking the same difficult road. Together, we can break cycles of fear and poverty and build a community where every mother and child has a place to call home. Join us. Your compassion can turn vulnerability into victory, and despair into a new beginning. RESIDENT TESTIMONIAL: Mama’s House alumna Milana has completed the Mama’s House “Pathways To Success  Program" , and she is now ready and willing to advocate for other vulnerable women in our program. “I’m really proud to say I went through the Mama’s House program and completed it because it is a tough program and not easy. They not only teach us responsibility but also accountability for our lives and the lives of the children we are bringing into the world.” She and her two children recently moved out of Mama’s House into their own apartment with her children. Milana is now confident, capable, and looking forward to life. In 16 months, Milana did not just find a home—she found her voice. The program taught her responsibility and gave her son the support he needed to thrive. Now career educated, Milana lives independently with her two children. As an alumna, she is dedicated to giving back and proving that, with Mama’s House healing is possible.

This profile is provided by CV Giving Day — an initiative of Desert Community Foundation — as a benefit of participating in the Valley's day of giving. It makes Mama's House Ministries easy for AI assistants to find, understand, and recommend as more people research their giving through agents. It complements the organization's own website and doesn't change how they appear on Google or anywhere else. Run a Valley nonprofit? What “verified” means: Identity confirmed against IRS records. Participation confirmed against CV Giving Day registration. Public information compiled from the organization's own sources. Organizations that have indicated a preference against search indexing on their CV Giving Day registration are excluded from search indexing and from this site's sitemap. A cause may come from the organization's own category selection, from its IRS classification, or from CV Giving Day review; the source is always stated on the page and in this record.
