About Catholic Charities San Bernardino & Riverside

Action Statement Catholic Charities provides compassionate social services that respond to the suffering of the vulnerable and those in crisis in our local communities. About Us For over 30 years, Catholic Charities has provided vitally necessary social services to the public – regardless of religious affiliation and without discrimination. Our mission is to fill lives with hope by providing competent and compassionate social services. We take a comprehensive approach to helping individuals and families in crisis by addressing their financial, social, emotional and/or physical needs, allowing them to regain stability and move forward with their lives. Fundamental to our approach is our core belief that it is not just what we do – but how we do it. Staff and volunteers do not just serve families – we embrace them.  It is our aspiration to provide help and create hope by whatever means possible. Who Do We Serve? The families we serve most often include the working poor and struggling middle class, troubled youth, immigrants, refugees, recent parolees, families at risk of homelessness, and families impacted by personal tragedy or natural disasters. How Do We Operate? 100% of your donation will support our programs and services that directly benefit those in need. This is possible because of the mixed streams of revenue obtained by Catholic Charities each year. At Catholic Charities, you can rest assured knowing that your donation will truly make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. We received the following letter from a young woman who found help when she needed it most: Dear Catholic Charities, “I wanted to take a moment to express the gratitude I feel for the recent assistance you provided me. Over the past few months I have been truly struggling; first with car trouble, then my daughter’s health problems, and finally an unexpected increase in the cost of tuition and school fees. I was becoming quite overwhelmed and discouraged, and I thought about discontinuing the credential program I am pursuing. However, with your help I feel a glimmer of hope. Last week, I was worried that my daughter and I could become homeless, and now I can focus on my education and my daughter’s recovery. A simple thank you does not seem enough words to express my gratitude.” Help us continue this vital work. Please take this opportunity to GIVE BIG, and support Catholic Charities with a generous donation today.
