## About nyxc Community Capital

nyxc is dedicated to creating economic opportunities by addressing critical barriers to financial inclusion and community resilience. We recognize that small business owners face significant challenges in accessing financing. That is why we provide support with financial planning, market analysis, and hiring at no cost. Plus, our organization goes beyond that of a traditional community development institution by contributing industry leading research within the scope of finance and technology for climate resilience, public infrastructure, and democratic governance.
Our founder learned, from first hand experience, that the financing terms set by large project developers put small holder farmers at risk of losing their land through collateral requirements and tax liens. nyxc Community Capital was built in response to the lack of support for small businesses that help their communities adapt to extreme weather and economic transitions.
As a mission-based lender nyxc’s streamlined approach uses an AI augmented digital platform to reach underserved businesses overlooked by big banks. nxyc is raising $100K USD in the form of philanthropic contributions and grants to pilot our bridge product. The funding will go directly to local businesses, allowing them to build credit and go on to work with traditional financial institutions.  Early support from organizations like BMO (Bank of Montreal) and management at Foresight Institute helped establish nyxc as we go on to support the growth of family owned companies in Coachella Valley.
