Our mission, values and vision provide assurance to our audiences, students, supporters and all members of our organizational teams that we are committed fully to providing meaningful theatrical experiences and educational outreach programs that elevate the quality of life for residents and visitors throughout the Coachella Valley. We work to create the highest standards in our productions, while endeavoring to maintain responsible spending and providing inclusive and safe working environments Youth Outreach Program ("YOP"). We provide educational outreach through conversation and dialogue plays an important role throughout the presentation of a MainStage productions each season targeted at issues directed to the youth audience in the Coachella Valley (bullying, suicide, isolation, etc). At the beginning of every performance, the Executive Artistic Director speaks in person from the stage, laying the groundwork for continued conversation. CVRep has a long history of promoting meaningful dialogue, and the success of our 'Talk-Back' productions can be measured not only by the fact that these performances are always sold out but by the continued positive feedback that is given not only by the audiences but by the cast and crew as well. Relevant discussions take place as managed conversations between the audience and members of the production cast and crew. These post-performance discussions have proven to be stimulating not only to the audiences but also have a profound impact upon the actors and creative staff, ensuring that the conversations continue long after people leave the theatre. We are also working in collaboration with the Palm Springs Unified School District and their suicide prevention and counseling center to spread awareness of the productions and engage their students.
