 "about": "Coachella Valley Classical Voices (CVCV) is a performing arts group that presents Broadway and Opera selections, sung by local singers, at various locations in the Coachella Valley.\nIn February, 2022, Doug Nagel, Michelle Fiore and Kurt Jordan sang a concert at Hope Palm Desert. \u00a0This performance proved that there was a desire for more classical music in the Coachella Valley. \u00a0Doug Nagel, Artistic Director, began gathering exception singers who specialize in Opera and Broadway. \u00a0CVCV is now comprised of 40 artists.\nIn 2025, CVCV received a grant from the Cathedral City Arts Council to produce and perform a condensed version of Hansel & Gretel. \u00a0The opera was performed at The Cathedral City Library and the Cathedral City Senior Center. \u00a0Later in 2025, the opera was performed at the Palm Canyon Theatre.\n\nUpcoming performances are:\n\nCVCV Concert\nSunday, March 29, 3:00 PM\nPalm Springs United Methodist Church\nDonations accepted at the door\nThe Merry Widow\nMay 21-24\nPalm Canyon Theatre\nPurchase Tickets",
