We educate and support families through the emotional, mental, and physical experiences of this critical season of life, creating a village of care where families feel connected, informed, and supported. For more than 10 years, About Families has served the Coachella Valley as a trusted 501c3 nonprofit. Each month, our ongoing programs support approximately 50 families, reaching nearly 300 families every year, with hundreds more served through community events and special programs. These numbers represent real parents, caregivers, and children receiving the support they need during some of life’s most vulnerable and transformative moments. About Families was founded on the belief that strong families grow from strong communities. Research shows that peer support plays a vital role in maintaining mental wellness and reducing the impact of perinatal mood disorders. By bringing families together with knowledgeable professionals and with one another, we help reduce isolation, increase confidence, and strengthen family well-being.
